Chocolate Miniature Schnauzer
10+ years old, weighs 16lbs
Albert is a very gentle soul. He is the perfect dog, very laid back and calm. He came to us from the shelter where he ended up as a stray 3 months ago. He was having trouble walking so he was immediately taking to the vet. He was diagnosed with spondylothesis (over growth of the bone in his back which was pressing on the nerves causing weakness in his back legs). He was given anti-inflammatorys, pain medication and placed on bed rest for 3 weeks and has made a complete recovery. He also was diagnosed with an eye ulcer. It has finally been cured after 3 months of treatment. Albert needs a retirement home. A home where his family is home more than not. He gets along with other dogs but does not interact with them much. He would not do well in a active home with children or other active dogs. His favorite activity is to sit in his foster mommy's lap and be rocked. He enjoys playing with toys, belly and back rubs. Albert likes to take walks on a leash, but has to be short walks due to his back and not wanting to aggravate his previous condition. He is house trained when taken out on a regular scheduled basis. His foster family adores him would love to adopt him but they know their home is too active for the gentle boy.
All dogs will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, heart worm tested, wormed, micro-chipped and will have had 1 month of heart worm preventative, and 1 month of flea preventative before adoption.
Adoption fee: $200
